Employees from the National Audit Office (NAO) attended a training course on quality control of audit work, held by the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) in cooperation with the Accountability State Authority (ASA) of Egypt.
The course was held virtually over 4 days and aimed at familiarizing the participants with the requirements and standards of quality control and quality assurance, the importance of quality control over audit work and the development and improvement of audit work quality, in addition to informing them about professional standards and best practices in the field of quality control.
The webinar included the exchange of experience among the participants and benefiting from the experience of member organizations regarding quality control of audit work.
In addition, the course discussed the concept and terminology of quality, the advantages of quality management systems, the components, conditions and mechanisms for applying quality effectively, the criteria for applying and evaluating the quality of audit work, and a recommended system to improve the quality of audit work and increase its added value.
