Your message may support us in carrying out our statutory audit functions. We welcome information which helps us to uncover financial and administrative violations in the entities we audit.
1 - The reported violation falls within the NAO’s authority and occurs in the entities subject to our audit.
2- The complaint refers to violations and abuses of relevant laws, regulations and decisions and to improper conduct in the provision of public services, or misuse of public funds.
3- Relevant documents supporting the complaint are supplied, even if received from an unknown source.
4- All information and data are dealt with in complete confidentiality and will only be available to those dealing with the complaint. No personal data will be disclosed.
5- The NAO has no obligation to announce the measures it takes regarding the reported violation.
6- Complaints are filed without action in the following cases:
- The complaint was previously examined by the NAO.
- The court has previously ruled on the complaint or the complaint is still under review at the court.
- The complaint is not valid or not important, or there is no factual evidence to support the complaint.
- If the public interest so requires.
7- You will receive an automated electronic notification to confirm that your complaint has been received. The NAO will read your correspondence, examine your complaint and contact you if necessary.
