Within the framework of cooperation and coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, a special delegation from the State Audit Institution of the Sultanate of Oman visited the National Audit Office (NAO) of the Kingdom of Bahrain to learn about the NAO’s experience and benefits in conducting audit tasks from its expertise regarding automated systems to manage audit work.
H.E. Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Deputy Auditor General for Administrative Audit at the NAO, welcomed the delegation at a meeting today which was attended by senior officials of the NAO and stressed the importance of cooperation and the exchange of experiences between SAIs.
The NAO officials briefed the Omani delegation on the technical tools and automated systems used in their audit work, the work methods and tasks carried out based on internationally accepted best practice.
The visiting delegation represented the working group on audit management system development. It was headed by expert Mr. Matar bin Saif Al Maamari, Head of the Audit Management System Evaluation Team and included a number of officials from the State Audit Institution of the Sultanate of Oman.
