H.E. Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Deputy Auditor General for Administrative Audit at the National Audit Office (NAO) of the Kingdom of Bahrain, participated via video conference in the twenty-fourth meeting of the Deputies of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The meeting discussed the training plan for the years 2024-2025 and the operational training plan for 2023-2025, which were prepared by the NAO.
The Participants were briefed on the topics of the sixth competition of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Research and Studies in the field auditing and accounting and the proposal to update its regulations. Furthermore, the meeting discussed the proposal to sign two memorandums of understanding, one with King Fahd Library and another with the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).
The deputies reviewed the update of joint manuals (Performance Audit Manual, Audit Report Preparation and Writing Manual, Information Technology Audit Manual, Privatization Audit Manual, Governance Audit Manual, Public Projects Audit Manual).
In addition, the preparation of the draft agenda of the twentieth meeting of the Heads of SAIs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was discussed.
Along with H.E. Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, the following representatives from the NAO attended the meeting: Aysha Adam, Director of Human and Financial Resources, and Yusuf Almahmood, International Cooperation Superintendent.
