Organized by the National Audit Office (NAO), in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
The National Audit Office (NAO), in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, organized a training course on the framework of professional pronouncements of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and related developments, presented by Mahmoud Hashim, Director Administrative Audit at the NAO.
The 3-day course was held via video conference and was attended by 25 participants from Bahrain and other Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The course included a presentation on professional pronouncements and their importance, an explanation of professional pronouncements related to auditing, and the general framework of the most prominent professional standards issued by INTOSAI.
Participants also learnt about the procedures and methods for setting professional standards, the methodology for their application, the most prominent guidelines and principles adopted by INTOSAI in this regard, and the latest international projects and related developments.
