Manama – The National Audit Office:
The National Audit Office (NAO), organized a training workshop in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a group of its employees on "Risk Assessment".
The workshop targeted heads of diplomatic and consular missions, sector heads, department directors and section heads at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and aimed to enable its participants to understand and apply a clear methodology to identify and analyze risks that may affect the achievement of the Ministry's strategic objectives and find solutions to reduce them.
The workshop also dealt with the methods and stages of risk assessment, including practical examples.
At the beginning of the workshop, H.E. Ambassador Eman Fouad Mattar, Institutional Development Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reviewed the importance of carrying out the risk assessment process to identify the risks associated with the operations of the organizational units in the Ministry, finding solutions to limit them and developing the institutional work in the Ministry.
The lectures were conducted over two days. The first day of lectures was held in person at the Academy’s headquarters, while the second day was organized via video conference. The trainers from the National Audit Office were Mr. Mohammed Al-Aradi, Audit Director at the Administrative Audit Directorate, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Dallal, Audit Supervisor at the Regulatory Audit Directorate.
