Royal Court Minister receives NAO audited financial statements for 2024

Manama, May 6 (BNA):

On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court, received the audited financial statements of the National Audit Office (NAO) for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, from Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of NAO.

Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed conveyed HM the King's greetings and appreciation to all NAO staff for their efforts in safeguarding public funds, optimising the use of resources, and ensuring sound financial practices. He also relayed HM the King's best wishes for their continued success.

Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed emphasised the role played by the NAO in fulfilling its responsibilities, describing it as one of the key outcomes of His Majesty’s comprehensive development process. He highlighted the NAO’s contribution to preserving national resources and ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency.

On his part, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed underscored that the NAO’s continued progress since its establishment reflects the unwavering support of HM the King and the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed noted that the financial statements reflect the NAO’s vision as an independent oversight body operating with transparency, quality, and professionalism, based on the latest international standards and best practices.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed also underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation with the entities under the NAO’s remit. He highlighted the ongoing plans, initiatives, and programmes aimed at enhancing performance, particularly in training Bahraini talent, digital and technological transformation, and legal development, all contributing to improved service delivery.
