Manama – The National Audit Office:

The Training and Development Committee for Employees of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held its 38th meeting, chaired by Ms. Aysha Ahmed Adam, Director of the Human and Financial Resources Department at the National Audit Office in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting, which was held via video conference, discussed the selection of the topics for the Seventh GCC Competition for Research and Studies in the Field of Auditing and Accounting, the recommendations in the winning researches of the sixth competition, and the proposal to hold joint training programs and workshops between the SAIs in the GCC countries to exchange experiences, enhance regional cooperation and develop the skills of their employees.

Furthermore, the Committee discussed the report of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council on the training programs implemented in 2025, reviewed the fifth meeting of the Follow-up and Evaluation Working Group on the Strategic Training Plan for the SAIs, and discussed the distribution of development projects and initiatives for the SAIs and the follow-up of the implementation of joint work decisions.
