Manama - National Audit Office:
His Excellency Mr. Faeq Ali Daif, Deputy Auditor-General of the National Audit Office, participated via video conference in the twenty-fifth meeting of the Deputies of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The meeting discussed the recommendations of the Training and Development Committee of the winning researches in the GCC Research and Studies Competition in the field of auditing and accounting , which included selecting the outstanding researches with the possibility of studying the feasibility of applying them.
The meeting also discussed organizing a youth forum within the scope of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the study on the reality of the issued manuals and the extent of utilizing and developing them in the future, in addition to the updated financial audit manual (general manual), the audit manual on disaster and crisis management, and the plan to enhance cooperation and partnership with the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).
Their Excellencies the Undersecretaries reviewed the recommendations of the 36th meeting of the Training and Development Committee held last July, which included choosing the title “Adopting Modern Technologies in Auditing” for the third Gulf seminar, reviewing and updating the guidebook for implementing training programs in the GCC countries within the framework of implementing a new initiative within the next strategic plan.
Under the topics of briefing and information, Their Excellencies the deputies studied the training programs implemented in 2024, the amendment of the evaluation form for the research submitted to the GCC competition in the field of auditing and accounting, as well as the signing of memorandums of understanding with the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and the King Fahd National Library (KFNL).
In addition to H.E. the deputy, the meeting was attended by a representative of the NAO in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Director of the Human and Financial Resources directorate, Aysha Adam, and the International Cooperation Supervisor, Yusuf AlMahmood.
