H.E. congratulated Dr. Isa Alnoaimi on obtaining an international certificate specialized in combating corruption.
His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO) affirmed the NAO’s keenness to develop the capabilities of its employees and to support them to obtain globally recognized professional qualifications, which was reflected in the quality of performance and services provided.
He congratulated Dr. Isa Alnoaimi, Assistant Auditor General, Administrative Audit, supervising the work of the investigative audit team, on obtaining the Anti Bribery and Corruption Certificate from the Association of Certified Specialists in Combating Money Laundering in the United States of America (ACAMS) and wished him continued success.
During his meeting with Dr. Isa Alnoaimi, H.E. highlighted the NAO’s human competencies and technical and logistical capabilities and stressed that the NAO would continue to invest in human cadres and national competencies through training and development of their professional and technical capabilities.
Furthermore, he indicated that there is a constant need for the development, modernization and introduction of new programs to keep pace with the latest global advancements in the field of auditing especially with regard to training to provide employees with the required skills. He encouraged all employees to make use of the support and opportunities offered by the NAO to obtain professional qualifications from internationally accredited institutes.
ACAMS is considered the world's leading authority for training suitable individuals in the field of combating money laundering and corruption, and for providing certified professional qualifications in that field.
Dr. Isa Alnoaimi’s certification was based on various courses related to combating corruption in the public and private sectors, which included ways to monitor corruption indicators, research and manage the facts, and current and future technical and practical developments in this field. It also examined the techniques of financial criminals to conceal and disguise the funds resulting from their crimes and to re-insert and use these funds in the financial and economic systems.
Dr. Isa Alnoaimi stated that, like most of the NAO’s employees, he was constantly seeking to enhance his technical, administrative and professional level.
He added: "As the head of the investigative team at the NAO it is necessary for my team to improve its capabilities through training and obtaining relevant specialized professional certificates in order to accomplish our tasks with more professionalism, and to use the acquired skills in preparing specialized reports to achieve the required results”.
The NAO pays great attention to providing ongoing training for its employees through programs that comply with the international audit standards issued by the International Organization for Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), especially those related to specialized and professional certificates to strengthen the technical and professional capabilities of its employees. The NAO runs a professional program via a scholarship system for its staff to obtain one of the internationally accredited professional qualifications.
Dr. Isa Alnoaimi has held the position of Assistant Auditor General for Administrative Audit at the NAO since 2014. He has 18 years of experience in the field of law and auditing in the public sector. He previously worked as an officer in the Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry of Interior and served as legal consultant at the Legislation and Legal Opinion Authority before joining the NAO as legal advisor.
Alnoaimi holds a PhD in public law, a Master of Laws from the university of Cairo, and a Bachelor of Law from the Police Academy in the United Arab Emirates. In addition, he holds a higher certificate in Legal Studies from Bournemouth Business School International in the United Kingdom and an executive certificate from Harvard University in the United States of America.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Deputy Auditor General for Administrative Audit, Sheikh Abdulla Bin Khalid Al Khalifa, and His Excellency Deputy Auditor General for Financial Audit, Mr. Fayeq Dhaif.
