THE WORLD CIO 200 SUMMIT 2022, organized by Global CIO Forum, honoured His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), for his role in supporting technological innovation, information technology and digital transformation.
The conference, which was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, concluded the day before yesterday.
His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority, presented the honourees with their awards. Dr Isa Nasser Alnoaimi, Assistant Auditor General for Administrative Audit at the NAO, received the award on behalf of His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed.
H.E. the Auditor General of the NAO expressed his thanks for receiving the honour and also his appreciation for the significant role His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa played by launching and supporting innovation and development initiatives in technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence. He also thanked the conference organizers for their efforts in arranging this awards event, which was an incentive for the honourees to support further technological progress with a look to future challenges.
As part of its efforts to develop its digital transformation capabilities in line with global advancements in this field, the NAO is interested in technological development and innovation that facilitates its audit work and adds to its accuracy and professionalism.
It was the 7th time that the Kingdom of Bahrain hosted this international conference, which is the largest global event for honouring entities, officials and CEOs for strategically employing technologies, artificial intelligence and digital transformation in their work.
