NAO Employees Participate in External Training Courses

Manama – National Audit Office:

Employees from the National Audit Office (NAO) attended external training courses aimed at enhancing their abilities in understanding, interpreting and analyzing financial indicators, organized by the Arab Monetary Fund and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which comes within the framework of the implementation of the NAO's approved training plan for the professional year 2024/2025.

Isa Ali Bashook, Senior Auditor at the Regulatory Audit Directorate, participated in a training program on "Inclusive Growth" (IG), held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, organized by the Arab Monetary Fund and the IMF Center for Economics and Finance in the Middle East (IMF-CEF).

The program focused on increasing participants' awareness of inclusive growth concepts and introducing them to analytical tools to assess, measure and follow up on factors affecting growth, applying these concepts and understanding the design of inclusive growth strategies based on practical case studies.

It also discussed a set of axes as an introduction to inclusive growth, growth theory, measurement and diagnosis, in addition to human capital, financial inclusion and governance.

Furthermore, Abdulrahman Husain, Audit Manager at the Regulatory Control Directorate, participated in a webinar on "Financial Soundness Indicators (FSIx)", organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in cooperation with the e-learning platform edX.

The course aimed to introduce participants to the main concepts of financial soundness indicators (FSIs), and to learn about the processes of preparing and compiling data as well as applying methodologies.
