Manama – National Audit Office:
Within the framework of implementing the approved training plans for the professional year (2024/2025) and ensuring compliance with international standards, the National Audit Office (NAO) informs its employees on an annual basis of the latest developments regarding these standards to ensure continued professionalism and high-quality audit work.
The NAO conducted a training session on the latest developments in the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAIs), presented by Mr. Ahmed Buti, Director - Regularity Audit, and Ms. Abrar Alsaegh, Audit Supervisor at the Regularity Audit Directorate, with the participation of about 78 employees from various technical departments.
The session discussed a set of topics, including an overview of the standards of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), the standards according to audit types, the process of issuing or amending standards, their general framework and the most prominent developments.
The session included an introductory video from the Professional Standard Committee of INTOSAI and was presented via video conference by Ms. Helga Berger, Chairman of the Committee, where she explained the importance of standards for SAIs to ensure the quality of the reports issued by them.
