Manama – The National Audit Office:
The National Audit Office (NAO) organized training for employees of primary health care centres on the NAO's work methodology, its audit reports with their observations and recommendations, and the methods of implementing and following-up on those recommendations. The training was conducted by H.E. Mr. Qasim Ahmed Almadhoob, Assistant Auditor General for Performance Audit at the NAO, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Ejlal Faisal Al-Alawi, CEO Primary Health Care Centres.
The course comes within the framework of partnership and cooperation between the NAO and the entities subject to its audit and is designed to increase the knowledge of the employees in the audited entities about the NAO's work which facilitates the implementation of audit tasks and the achievement of positive results.
The course introduced participants to the NAO’s work, the audit types it performs, its audit tasks, the entities under its audit mandate, and its methodology for implementing audit tasks and for preparing reports.
Mr. Almadhoob explained in detail the basic components of audit observation, the nature of the NAO's recommendations, and how the relevant authority should deal with them and implement them. He also elaborated on the follow-up procedures regarding the implementation of the NAO’s recommendations.
In addition, the training touched on audit types and their classifications, and relevant articles of the NAO's Law.
