H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the outstanding success of the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, which was held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia with the blessings of His Majesty the King and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
H.E. stressed that this distinguished success added to the achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain in international motorsports, thanks to the unwavering support of His Majesty the King, and the tireless efforts and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which contributed to consolidating the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a global destination for Formula One sports, and highlighting its organizational capabilities and expertise at an international level.
H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa pointed out that the participation of the Bahrain International Circuit and the Bahrain teams involved in organizing the race in Malaysia confirmed the extensive expertise and capabilities of Bahrainis and their ability to transfer their expertise to the highest international standards, contributing to Bahrain’s record of achievements in international sport.
H.E. also noted that the organization of a race bearing the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain on Malaysian soil reflected the strength of the close bilateral ties and growing cooperation between the two countries and Bahrain’s strong international standing and reputation in organizing and hosting major events.
