Manama – National Audit Office:

H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), praised the speech of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the occasion of the opening of the fifth session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and Parliament.

He stressed that the Royal Address reflected His Majesty the King’s  firm commitment to ensuring that the nation’s interest is placed at the centre of all national efforts and that the state institutions strengthen their partnership to fullfill  shared responsibilities. The closeness of Bahrain’s leadership and the people represented a key pillar in facing challenges, maintaining the security and stability of the country, and continuing the progress to prosperity.

H.E. expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the government, under the guidance and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in ensuring the continued provision of government services with the usual efficiency and quality to achieve the necessary stability for Bahrain and its citizens.

H.E. also praised His Majesty the King's appreciation for the efforts by the defence and security forces in protecting the nation and defending its sovereignty, and their vigilance, effectiveness and excellence in dealing with challenges and threats.

He expressed great pride in the royal directive to designate 2027 as the "Year of Isa bin Salman", in commemoration of the legacy of the late Amir His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and in appreciation of his lifelong service to Bahrain and its progress and development.

Furthermore, H.E. praised the Royal Directive to announce the 1^st of June  as an official holiday known as the Day of Allegiance and Loyalty. The new official holiday coincides with the day of the signing of the document of Gratitude and Loyalty to the people of Bahrain, recognising the national pride and unity of Bahrain’s citizens, loyalty to Bahrain’s wise leadership and the importance of cooperation, integration, dialogue and understanding. The support for regional and international peace and security reflected the wise vision of His Majesty the King in consolidating relations of cooperation and partnership, safeguarding national interests, and enhancing the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its role in its regional and international environment.
