Manama – National Audit Office:
The National Audit Office (NAO) organized two health awareness sessions for its employees in cooperation with Solidarity Insurance Company to promote health awareness and a culture of well-being among its employees. The two sessions covered orthopedic health, sports medicine and ophthalmology.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Jowder, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine, presented the first awareness session under the title "Your Body Is Speaking... Are You Listening?" which addressed topics related to bone health and sports medicine to emphasize the importance of taking care of your physical health and preventing associated problems.
The second session on "Protect Your Vision in the Digital Workplace & Understanding Common Eye Conditions: Myths and Facts", was presented by Dr. Amir Sharafeddin, Specialist Ophthalmologist and Surgeon, and focused on the importance of maintaining eye health in the digital work environment, raising awareness of common eye diseases and correcting misconceptions related to them.
The two sessions included primary health check-up services for participants in addition to eye examinations and intraocular pressure measurement (IOP), to enhance awareness of the importance of periodic check-ups and early detection of health problems.
