Manama – National Audit Office (NAO):

His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), sent a message of congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the outstanding success of the organization of the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, which was held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia with the blessings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.

H.E. stressed that holding the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix for the first time outside the Kingdom reflected Bahrain’s extensive experience in the organization of international sporting events, and the efficiency of the Bahrain teams involved in the organisation which enabled them to transfer their expertise to the Sepang International Circuit maintaining the identity of the award.

H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa praised the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for Bahraini sports, and the continuous support and follow-up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which have contributed to the race’s success, further strengthening Bahrain’s international standing and reputation within international sporting circles.

He stressed that this experience represented a model of partnership and exchange of experiences and opened new opportunities for further cooperation in the field of sports, tourism and economy.
H.E. Excellency also noted that the success of organizing the award in Malaysia reflected the strong bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Malaysia, and the growing cooperation it was witnessing in various fields.
