With Bahrain's participation To strengthen cooperation, training plans and capacity development.
A delegation from the GCC Audit Offices visited the headquarters of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) in Oslo, Norway, with the participation of representatives from the National Audit Office in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The visit comes within the framework of implementing one of the initiatives of the strategic plan to train and develop the capacities of the staff of the GCC Audit and Accounting Offices and aims to enhance cooperation and partnership with IDI.
The delegation was represented by Ms. Aisha Ahmed Eid Adam - Director of Human and Financial Resources and Ms. Qotoof Abdulwahab Naqi - Training and Professional Development Supervisor.
The visiting delegation was briefed on IDI's initiatives related to the SAIs framework and capacity building, the implementation of specialized training programs for GCC SAIs, and developments related to the Professional Education for SAI Auditors (PESA) program, in which a group of the NAO’s employees participated and 3 of them obtained the Professional Education for SAI Auditors (PESA) certificate.
The visit also included discussing the development of several programs, such as the SAI Young Leaders Program, Crisis and risk management for SAI Performance, and the SAI PMF workstream.
They also discussed ways to implement a train-the-trainer program for a group of employees of the GCC audit and accounting offices.
