The National Audit Office (NAO) participated in a training course on "Evaluation of Public Policies", organized by the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, in cooperation with the General Bureau for Auditing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The 3-day webinar aimed to familiarize the participants with ways of how to conduct an evaluation of public policies in accordance with international standards.
The training provided a definition of the concept of public policy evaluation, elaborated on its types and the differences and agreements between them and touched upon other audit types.
Furthermore, participants learnt about the planning stages of the evaluation process, as well as Standard No. (9400) "Guidelines on the Evaluation of Public Policies".
