The National Audit Office (NAO) participated in a training course entitled "Auditing entities that receive financial support from the state", which was held by the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) in cooperation with the Algerian Court of Accounts.
The webinar aimed to provide trainees with the necessary skills for auditing entities that benefit from the state's support in accordance with approved international standards.
It discussed the importance of evaluating the operating systems of these entities and auditing their financial statements and accounts. Furthermore, auditing methods and procedures, and the planning and implementation of audit tasks were highlighted. Performance objectives and measuring the efficiency of these entities were discussed in addition to what effect audit results might have on the audited entities and the financial support policy in general.
The course included a presentation of practical cases by some of the participating organisations.
