Manama – The National Audit Office:
The National Audit Office (NAO) participated in the "Arab Chartered Auditor Fellowship" program organized by the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) in cooperation with the General Audit Bureau of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The program enabled participants to obtain a professional qualification through comprehensive training in all audit types such as performance, compliance, and financial audit based on accrual accounting.
The 6-month program (24 weeks with 265 hours) is divided into 3 consecutive training sets: the first includes a one-week in-person training (22 hours), the second is held remotely with interaction and self-study (21 weeks with 207 hours), and the the third is again in-person training for two weeks (36 hours).
The program, which was attended by Hasan Saleh Dawood Shehab, Senior Auditor at the NAO’s Regularity Audit Directorate, and 18 participants from member SAIs of ARABOSAI, aims to enhance cooperation between Arab audit institutions, support professional competencies, contribute to the development of their technical capabilities, and enable them to exchange knowledge and experiences.
