Manama – National Audit Office:
The National Audit Office (NAO) participated in a training seminar for young auditors from Arab countries in Asia, organized by the Supreme Audit Organization of the People's Republic of China (CNAO), which discussed the role of young auditors in developing the audit profession and enhancing their capabilities in the field of research, communication and reporting.
Participants in the symposium, held in Nanjing, capital of the Jiangsu Province, were briefed on China’s in developing audit practices, and the latest innovations in auditing methods and big data analysis.
In addition, the seminar included workshops on government audit systems in China, and field visits to the audit office of the Shanghai Municipality to learn about their experience in applying information technology in audit work.
Participants learned about China's development strategies in innovation-based growth, reform, major national initiatives and modern urban governance, as well as the role of higher organisations in these areas.
The seminar provided an opportunity for participants to interact with the heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) and international students of the “Master of Auditing” program at Nanjing University, where group discussions on the adoption of technological innovation were held.
On the sidelines of the symposium, the International Campaign for Young Auditors of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) was launched.
The seminar was attended by Mr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Falamarzi, Audit Supervisor at the Administrative Audit Department, and Ms. Maryam Abdulrazaq Albalooshi, Senior Auditor at the Regularity Audit Department.
