Manama – The National Audit Office:
The National Audit Office (NAO) conducted training on "Auditing Expenditures and Revenues" for a group of employees from the Ministry of Interior’s General Inspectorate as part of its partnership and cooperation approach with entities covered by its audit mandate to enhance the basic audit skills of their employees.
The program introduced participants to the concept of auditing expenses and revenues, basic budget classification requirements for recurrent expenses and revenues, and procedures for auditing expenses, contracts, procurement, revenues, and others.
The training reviewed legislation related to this type of audit, and presented examples of audit tasks and practical applications, including audit of revenues, procurement and contracts.
The lectures were given by NAO trainers Muath Abdul Ghaffar Alabbasi, Audit Manager at the Regularity Audit Directorate, and Isa Salah Almannai, Auditor at the Regularity Audit Directorate.
