The National Audit Office (NAO), organized a series of cyber security awareness sessions for its employees in cooperation with the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) at the Ministry of Interior.
These sessions are within the framework of enhancing the NAO’s employees' knowledge about cyber risks, how to prevent cyber incidents and apply safe cyber practices in the work environment, and the legal framework in the Kingdom of Bahrain on cybersecurity.
The seminars introduced participants to what cybersecurity is, how to protect institutions and individuals from cyberattacks, and what types of cyber security threats exist that aim to penetrate, modify, enter or illegally use systems and networks of all kinds.
The awareness sessions were conducted by qualified trainers from the NCSC, who pointed out that cyber attacks range from installing malicious codes on personal computers to destroying the infrastructure of entire countries. They reviewed examples of cyber attacks, how to detect them and ways to prevent them.
