Creation of an AI-powered online platform

Manama – National Audit Office (NAO):

H.E. Mr. Faeq Ali Dhaif, Deputy Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), chaired, via videoconference, the 27th meeting of the deputies of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held today via video conferencing.

Mr. Dhaif welcomed the deputies of the GCC SAIs, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain's hosting of this meeting reflected the keenness to continue coordination and cooperation between the GCC SAIs, strengthen professional ties, and exchange expertise and experiences to contribute to the development of audit work and the upgrade of the financial audit and accounting systems in the GCC countries.

The meeting discussed the topics of the seventh competition of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Research and Studies in the field of auditing and accounting, the report on the results of the recommendations study of the sixth competition winning research, and the project of establishing an AI supported electronic platform containing the work results of the GCC SAIs.

Furthermore, the deputies reviewed the report of the General Secretariat on the training programs implemented during the years 2025 and 2026, the events to be held by the GCC SAIs during the Gulf Financial and Administrative Audit Week, and the draft agenda of the 23rd meeting of the Heads of the SAIs of the GCC States, to be held next September.

The meeting stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the SAIs of the GCC, and exchanging experiences and professional practices, to support the development of audit work and the process of joint Gulf action.

The meeting was attended by a representative of the National Audit Office in the Kingdom of Bahrain, together with the Deputy Auditor General of the National Audit Office, H. E. Mr Faeq Dhaif, and the Director of the Human and Financial Resources Department, Ms. Aysha Adam.
