Manama – National Audit Office:

His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Auditor-General of the National Audit Office, extended his congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain and President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of the Council's establishment.

His Excellency affirmed that celebrating the Silver Jubilee of the Supreme Council for Women represents a significant national occasion to reflect on twenty-five years of continuous institutional efforts dedicated to supporting the advancement of Bahraini women, strengthening their presence and contributions across various fields of national endeavour, and recognizing the significant achievements that have established women as indispensable partners in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s journey of development, nation-building, and future prosperity.

His Excellency noted that the distinguished position attained by Bahraini women, and the competence they have consistently demonstrated in assuming responsibilities and contributing effectively to national progress, is the result of the visionary leadership and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Through the national foundations established by His Majesty, which are based on equal opportunities and the promotion of women’s participation in all development pathways, together with the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahraini women have been empowered to broaden their participation and further consolidate their role within a supportive and enabling national environment across all sectors.

His Excellency also commended the pioneering role of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, and the national efforts she has led to establish a comprehensive institutional framework that supports the advancement of Bahraini women. These efforts have translated national aspirations into sustainable programmes and initiatives. He emphasised that the Council’s journey over the past quarter-century reflects a long-term national vision that has made women’s advancement and enhanced participation an integral component of Bahrain’s comprehensive development framework.

His Excellency further stated that the Silver Jubilee of the Supreme Council for Women represents an important national milestone to celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of Bahraini women and to build upon them towards broader horizons of participation and contribution. Such progress strengthens women’s role as active partners in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s continued prosperity and advancement, while further consolidating Bahrain’s pioneering experience in supporting and empowering women and enhancing their contributions across all areas of development.

The Auditor-General of the National Audit Office also expressed his pride in the contributions made by the Office’s female professionals and the vital roles they undertake across various audit and administrative functions. He reaffirmed the Office’s commitment to supporting national talent and fostering an institutional work environment founded on competence and equal opportunities, thereby enabling women to continue contributing to performance improvement, the advancement of the audit system, and the achievement of national development objectives.
