The directors of the technical departments at the National Audit Office (NAO) participated in an international webeminar organized by the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) in cooperation with the Supreme Audit Institution of the Kingdom of Thailand on the principles contained in the Bangkok Declaration.
The webinar was the first in a series of virtual seminars to discuss the principles of the Bangkok Declaration adopted by ASOSAI’s General Assembly in September 2021.
The webinar was attended by the following representatives from the NAO: Mr. Suhail Sakhnini, Director Regulatory Audit, Jaffar Mohammed Hassan, Director - Administrative Audit, Huda Ali Buheji, Director - Performance Audit, Basma Abdul Rahman Alahmed, Director - Regulatory Audit, and Mahmood Hashim Mahmood, Director - Administrative Audit.
The Bangkok Declaration consists of four chapters: strengthening governance procedures, encouraging the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, increasing the use of technology and advanced techniques in auditing work, in addition to strengthening crisis and disaster management.
