Training in cooperation with US Government Accountability Office.
The National Audit Office (NAO) organized a training program for its employees on “Enhancing Audit Report with Survey Results” in coordination with the Centre for Audit Excellence (CAE) of the US Government Accountability Office (GAO).
The training was conducted by Mr. Martin de Alteriis, one of the experts at CAE with 30 years of experience in research, audit questionnaires, data analysis and international consulting services in these fields.
The program forms part of the NAO's strategy regarding the implementation of value-added tasks to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided by audited entities, continuous training and development of its employees to enhance their technical skills, and following international best practices.
The webinar was attended by about 33 employees from various technical departments of the NAO and reviewed advanced mechanisms in preparing audit questionnaires and enhancing audit reports using questionnaire results especially in public-sector auditing, most notably the health, education and environment sectors.
Participants learnt how to design surveys, collect data, develop data-related questions, test surveys, analyse and report survey results, and include them in audit reports.
