HE Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), received in his office this morning HE Eng. Basim Yacob Al Hamer, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, where they discussed enhancing partnership and cooperation in the field of audit.
HE the Auditor General congratulated HE Eng. Al Hamer on the royal trust bestowed upon him, following his appointment by HM the King as Chairman of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau and wished him every success in his role.
Furthermore, he stressed his keenness to increase coordination to contribute to achieving the goals of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HE the Auditor General indicated that the NAO continued to apply a positive approach in dealing with the observations and recommendations contained in its audit reports, which were prepared according to the standards of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and best practices in this field.
For his part, HE Eng. Basim Yacob Al Hamer stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination with the NAO to enhance the level of performance, quality and efficiency of services and praised the level of professionalism and transparency of the NAO’s staff.
