Celebrating Bahrain Youth Day.

H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), stressed Bahraini Youth’s important role in the nation’s comprehensive development process with the support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He noted the prominent role played by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, in encouraging and motivating young people through various initiatives and programs with the support of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

H.E. the President of the NAO pointed out that the NAO supported Bahraini youth through empowerment and capacity building programs. Bahraini Youth Day, which falls on the 25th of March each year, is a reminder of the significant role young Bahraini people play in shaping Bahrain’s present and future. It is also an occasion to highlight their skills and capabilities, as well as youth initiatives, ideas and projects.

This came during a meeting this morning at the office of H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa honouring a group of distinguished young employees and employees with recently acquired professional qualifications in the of attended by senior officials of the NAO.

The honoured employees on the occasion of Bahraini Youth Day are: Zainab Humaid Jaafar - Audit Supervisor Performance Audit, Abdulrahman Ahmed Alhajeri - Senior Auditor Regularity Audit, Ishaq Abdulaziz Mohammed - senior auditor at the Administrative Audit - Member of the Forensic Audit Team, while the employees who recently acquired professional qualifications are: Abdulrahman Mohammed Falamarzi - Senior Auditor Performance Audit who obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification, and Eman Ali Qambar - Senior Auditor Information Systems Audit, who obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification.

For their part, the honoured employees appreciated the occasion and stressed that the NAO cared about developing the capabilities of young people and empowering them to achieve their full potential which positively affected their work.

It is worth to note that 59% of NAO staff are in the youth category. About 15% are in supervisory and leadership positions and 25% have professional qualifications. 41% are young mentors who guide employees and help them with individual development and performance plans. The number of technical staff with professional qualifications is about 46 employees, constituting 45% of the total technical staff at the NAO.
