His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), extended his warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister on the success of the sixth parliamentary and municipal elections with a record 73% turnout.
His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed said that this success added to the Kingdom of Bahrain's record of political, economic and social achievements which strengthened the democratic and comprehensive development process led by His Majesty the King. The unprecedented high turnout in the elections indicated the awareness and national responsibility of the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain and their keen interest in building their prosperous future.
He stressed that the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain demonstrated a high patriotic spirit and sincere support for the development process headed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Excellency referred to the great efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which put Bahraini citizen at the top of its priorities and worked to achieve the highest national interests.
