His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty and President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the 21st anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women.
His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed stressed that the remarkable progress achieved by Bahraini women in various sectors, would not have been possible without the vision and support of His Majesty the King, and the programmes, projects and initiatives launched by the government headed by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He emphasized that the efforts of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa played an important and direct role in empowering and supporting Bahraini women, and tailoring development programs according to their needs based on the principles of equality, justice and competitiveness.
His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed said, "Bahraini women have been able to prove themselves in all fields and make outstanding contributions to national development." He considered the Supreme Council for Women a landmark achievement in empowering women and supporting their advancement.
He continued that he was proud of the contributions of Bahraini women in the NAO and praised the significant role they play in carrying out audit tasks and preparing reports.
