His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), stressed that the NAO is keen to develop the capabilities of its employees, provide them with the necessary technical and administrative skills, and support them to obtain internationally accredited professional qualifications to enhance the quality of their performance and the services provided.
H.E. met with Dr. Isa Nasser Alnoaimi, Assistant Auditor General for Administrative Audit at the NAO and head of the forensic audit team, and congratulated him on obtaining his “Certified Fraud Examiner” (CFE) professional qualification after successfully passing the American Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) exams. H.E. Sheikh Ahmed added that there is a permanent need to develop, update and introduce new training and development programs that keep pace with the latest advances in auditing.
H.E. Sheikh Ahmed congratulated Dr. Alnoaimi on this achievement and wished him further progress and success. He encouraged all NAO employees to take advantage of the support and opportunities provided by the NAO to obtain internationally accredited professional qualifications as they are important for the NAO’s auditing performance and their careers.
For his part, Dr. Isa Nasser Alnoaimi expressed his delight about obtaining this qualification as part of enhancing his professional capabilities, especially in the field of investigative auditing. He added that "as the head of the forensic audit team at the NAO, there is a need for me and my team to advance our capabilities through training and obtaining relevant specialized professional certificates, so that we are able to accomplish our tasks to the fullest."
The NAO pays great attention to providing ongoing training and professional qualification courses for its employees through projects and programmes that comply with the international audit standards issued by the International Organization for Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), to strengthen their professional and technical capacities. The NAO runs a professional development program via a scholarship system for its staff to obtain internationally accredited professional qualifications in auditing and accounting.
Dr. Alnoaimi has been Assistant Auditor General for Administrative Audit at the NAO since 2014.
