Topics for the sixth GCC competition in the field of auditing and accounting selected.
The Training and Development Committee of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has requested the National Audit Office (NAO) of the Kingdom of Bahrain to prepare the final draft of the 2024-2025 training plan, based on the results of the questionnaire distributed to member SAIs, which will be presented at the next Undersecretaries’ meeting.
During last month’s meeting at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in Riyadh, the committee recommended adopting the operational plan model submitted by the NAO for the implementation of the 2023-2025 strategic plan and nominated the authorities responsible for the respective time plan, implementation, follow-up, and the forming of a sub-working group for follow-up and evaluation.
Furthermore, the committee selected topics for the sixth competition of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Research and Studies in the field of auditing and accounting.
In addition, the meeting reviewed the proposal of the General Secretariat related to the signing of memorandums of understanding and agreements with the INTOSAI Development Initiative based in Norway to develop the capabilities of employees in the SAIs of the Gulf, and with the King Fahd National Library in Riyadh to increase the knowledge sources for SAI employees.
The meeting was attended by Aysha Ahmed Adam, Director- Human and Financial Resources, and Qotoof Abdulwahab Naqi, Superintendent Administration at the Human and Financial Resources Directorate.
