The programme, launched by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), aims to develop the leadership skills of young auditors, empower participants to implement change strategies, convey the best practices in the field of auditing and leadership, and provide a platform to exchange experiences among young leaders in SAIs.
In this context, Ms. Maryam Taleb, Audit Manager at the Administrative Audit Department at the NAO in the Kingdom of Bahrain, presented a strategy to develop the mechanism for following up on recommendations, which was part of the initiatives approved for the fourth cohort of young leaders.
This second SYL meeting, held in Muscat, Oman, aimed to empower participants to become leaders in their field by completing the curriculum in key areas, provide a platform for the exchange and development of strategic initiatives and reflect on lessons learned.
The young leaders presented reports on the implementation of their integrated change strategies, which included Personal Growth Plans and Organisational Change Strategies, as well as sustainable leadership plans at the personal and institutional levels to ensure continued growth after the completion of the programme.
