Female employees at the National Audit Office (NAO) said that Bahraini women have proven their worth and competence in various sectors and are a key partner in achieving progress and prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

They stressed that the NAO provided an exemplary work environment without discrimination for all employees offering them job opportunities, training and promotion, which motivated them to do well and help build a promising future for the country.

They extended their warmest greetings and congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the occasion of Bahraini Women's Day which falls on the first of December every year.

The percentage of female employees at the NAO reached 51% of the total workforce, 44% of NAO’s supervisory and leadership positions are occupied by women, and 57% of female employees hold technical positions. They make up 48% of the total number of technicians with professional qualifications.

Women are key partners in development

Basma Abdulrahman Alahmed, Assistant Auditor General for Regulatory Audit, extended her best wishes and congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, on Bahraini Women's Day.

"This year’s celebration of Bahraini Women's Day coincides with Bahrain's Silver Jubilee celebrations commemorating the 25th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's accession. Under HM’s leadership, the advancement of Bahraini women witnessed a qualitative shift which reflects HM's belief in the important role of women in building and advancing society," she said.

She explained that the selection of the slogan "Women are a worthy partner in building the country" for this year's celebrations confirmed that Bahraini women were a key partner in achieving progress as their contributions in various fields reflected their strength and determination.

Alahmed considered the celebration of Bahraini women as a recognition of their active role in the national development process, and a sign of the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its leadership to enhance their position in all fields, emphasize their important role and their rights and provide them with equal opportunities.

She congratulated all Bahraini women on this occasion, expressing her deep appreciation for their vital role in society to build a strong and prosperous country. Each year they served as a symbol of strength and inspiration.

For her part, Huda Ali Buheji, Director of the Performance Auditing Directorate, said, "Every year, on this day, my beloved country praises women's dedication and celebrates their successes and achievements in all fields with the support and patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women. This is based on the belief of the country’s leadership in the active role of women and their great contribution to the country’s development."

She pointed out that the choice of this year’s slogan "Women are a worthy partner in building the country" to celebrate Bahraini Women's Day confirmed that women have gone beyond the stage of seeking equal opportunities and have reached the stage of active and distinguished participation in the development of the country. They have proven their worth in efficiently and competently taking on national responsibilities and leadership roles in various fields.

She added, "All words of thanks and gratitude do not do my country justice for the great support it has granted women under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Congratulations to every Bahraini woman for this loving and generous country, which deserves more from all of us for its development and progress."

Aysha Adam, Director of Human and Financial Resources, noted that, coinciding with Bahrain's Silver Jubilee celebrations commemorating the 25th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's accession, the nation was celebrating Bahraini Women’s Day. She continued that Bahraini women were a symbol of strength and creativity and an active partner in the process of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s development and progress. They had proven their worth, competence and ability to contribute effectively to building and developing the nation’s prosperity for a bright future.

She stated that Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, congratulated all Bahraini women on this occasion, renewing her commitment to support Bahraini women and empower them to continue their journey of dedication and excellence in the firm belief that they would always be an example of honour and a source of inspiration for future generations. Every year, Bahraini women were a symbol of dedication, excellence and true partnership in building the nation.

Mona Hassan Buhusayyen, Audit Manager, explained that the slogan "Women are worthy partners in building the country" summarized many roles, achievements and participation in all aspects of the development of the nation based on the reform project of His Majesty the King.
She extended her greetings, thanks and appreciation to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, for all her efforts for the women of this country and the women of the world and praised every Bahraini woman who contributed effectively to the advancement and achievements of this country.

The NAO is a model work environment

In addition, Noora Khalid Althawadi, Senior Auditor, stressed that Bahraini women are a prominent example of success and sacrifice, and that they were an important partner without whom the development of the country would not be complete. She wished all Bahraini women continued progress, success, prosperity and self-fulfillment.

She explained that she, like other women at the NAO, enjoyed appreciation and support from senior management, adding, "I am pleased and proud to be a member of the NAO team where an ideal work environment offers career opportunities, training and promotion without discrimination. We look forward to further progress and prosperity of our country and advancing its promising future."

Sara Kazem Alarayedh, Senior Auditor, extended her warmest wishes and congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, His Excellency the Auditor General of the National Audit Office Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and to all members of the National Audit Office and all women in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

She stressed that she feels proud of the great achievements by Bahraini women. Their assumption of leadership positions in all sectors and institutions were proof of their competence and ability to advance the Kingdom.

"I am proud to be one of the employees of the National Audit Office, which, since its establishment, has adopted a clear approach in empowering women and applying the principle of equal opportunities between the sexes. I extend a special greeting to all my colleagues in the NAO and to every woman in the Kingdom who is persistent and capable of self-fulfillment and making a mark with her contribution to building and developing Bahrain," she added.

Bashayer Khalifa Alisa, Senior Auditor, praised the celebration of Women's Day in recognition of women’s achievements and their role as a key partner in building the country, its progress and prosperity.

She pointed to the NAO's support for Bahraini women and its keenness to achieve the principle of equal opportunities by assigning them important supervisory and leadership positions in various fields.

She explained that the Bahraini woman had taken on her national role and proved her worth and ability to assume responsibility since the launch of the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Giving more to the home country

Kaltham Othman Buali, Senior Auditor, explained that Bahraini Women's Day was an appreciation of their contributions and continuous efforts in building the nation, a sign of support for their future ambitions, and a celebration of their role, dedication and symbol of pride and patriotism.

She congratulated Bahraini women on their day and reminded them that they could participate in all fields without discrimination if they possessed the right competence and skills.
Fatema Jamal Alqaraan, Assistant Auditor, said, "The first of December is a special day for all of us to celebrate the achievements and emphasize the prominent and effective role of women in all aspects of life. Women are not only half of the society, but also a key partner and contributor to creation and development."

"Women's participation in nation-building is essential to achieve sustainable development and prosperity, and we must invest in opportunities and provide more for our beloved country," she added. “On this day, I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to every Bahraini woman who strives to build a better future and is a source of pride for all of us.”

Alaa Abbas Alderazi, Audit Supervisor, pointed to the advanced steps taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain in terms of empowering women and activating their role in various political, economic and social fields. As a result, they had become a major and active partner in Bahrain’s development process and an honourable model in all forums and fields.

She stressed that Bahraini Women's Day was a special national day to honour women in various sectors in appreciation of their efforts and national role, which is one of the outcomes of the development and reform approach of the country’s leadership.

Qotoof Abdulwahab Naqi, Training and Professional Development Supervisor, explained that Bahraini women had been and still were a symbol of dedication and sacrifice, and their presence in various fields of work reflected their strength and determination. She noted that this was achieved thanks to the support of the country’s leadership which believed in the importance of empowering women and encouraging them to be creative and innovative.

"I am proud of my role in our diverse society, where I can use my experience and skills to enhance institutional performance and achieve sustainable development. I affirm my commitment to continue to give my best and contribute effectively to achieving Bahrain's vision and to prove that women are a real and worthy partner to build a bright future for this beloved country," she said.

For her part, Amina Abdulkhaleq Buali, Senior Specialist - Training and Professional Development, considered Bahraini Women's Day an opportunity to appreciate the great efforts of women in various fields, and their effective role as a worthy partner in building the country. She noted that throughout the country’s history, Bahraini women had proven the ability and determination to face challenges and make a difference in the national development process.

"As part of this inspiring community, I believe that women are not only a key pillar in the family, but also an influential partner in the economy, in politics and culture. The support of the country’s leadership and its belief in women's capabilities has given them the opportunity to innovate and excel in various fields," she said.

"On this precious national occasion, I express my respect for all Bahraini women who provide the most wonderful examples of work and achievements, and above all for Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women. I pledge to continue to contribute positively and persistently to the process of building the nation and achieving its future goals and sustainable vision.
