Manama – National Audit Office:

The National Audit Office (NAO) continues to enhance the skills of its employees through continuous training.

As part of its plan to employ artificial intelligence technologies in the workplace and the approved training plan for the professional year (2025-2026), the NAO organized a training course for its employees on Microsoft 365 Copilot, in cooperation with INSOMEA Computer Solutions. The training included a demonstration of the uses of Microsoft 365 Copilot, a built-in AI-based smart assistant that helps to increase productivity, reduce routine work time, and support digital transformation.

The 3-day course, which was attended by 43 employees from various technical and administrative departments, addressed the capabilities of Microsoft Copilot in enterprise business, and identified and prioritized business scenarios for the implementation of Copilot. It also included a focused session for audit teams to explore, design, and improve Copilot use in cases specifically designed for audits such as planning, data analysis, compliance checks, documentation, and others.

Furthermore, the course included a focused session exploring Copilot's applications in HR, training, finance, public relations, international cooperation, information systems, and explored scenarios tailored to smaller but impactful cases.

Mrs. Bodour Bin Maki, head of training services at INSOMEA Computer Solutions and certified Microsoft trainer specialized in the field of AI and CoPilot technologies, delivered the lectures.

In addition, the NAO organized training sessions and workshops on Corporate Risk Management in cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) for 107 employees from various technical and support departments.

These training sessions and workshops come within the framework of the implementation of the approved training plan for the professional year (2025/2026), to enhance awareness about the risk management policy and business continuity at the NAO.
