NAO Auditor General and CSB president discuss cooperation

Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed stresses the principle of partnership with entities covered by its audit mandate.

Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), H.E. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received H.E. Sheikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) in his office on Tuesday morning and discussed enhancing cooperation and partnership.

The Auditor General congratulated H.E. Shaikh Daij bin Salman on his appointment as president of the CSB and the royal trust bestowed upon him and wished him every success in his new role. He stressed the NAO’s keenness to enhance cooperation with all stakeholders to contribute to achieving the goals of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and continuously supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

H.E. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed indicated that the NAO applied a constructive approach in preparing audit reports and the observations and recommendations therein, which are compliant with the international standards issued by the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), and in line with best international practices in the audit field.

H.E. praised the CSB's cooperation with the NAO teams when carrying out their audit tasks and looked forward to strengthening the constructive partnership approach between the two organisations.

Based on the constitutional and legal framework of its establishment, the NAO conducts financial audits, performance audits, compliance audits, information systems audits and forensic audits.

For his part, H.E. Shaikh Duaij bin Salman affirmed that the CSB would continue to cooperate with the NAO to enhance performance levels and the quality and efficiency of services.
