Ensuring INTOSAI compliance.
The National Audit Office (NAO) participated in the 20th meeting of the Working Group on Audit Rules of Supreme Audit Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which was held at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh with the participation of representatives from Gulf SAIs.
At the meeting, the updated final drafts of the manuals on "Preparation and Writing of Audit Reports", "Information Technology Audit", "Privatization Audit" and "Performance Audit", were reviewed and amendments regarding references and terminology, among others, were agreed to comply with INTOSAI standards.
Furthermore, the team discussed updates to the Governance Audit Manual and the Public Projects Audit Manual in addition to proposals submitted by the authorities regarding these.
The meeting approved the topics to be discussed at the next meeting, which will be held in June 2023.
The National Audit Office (NAO) was represented at the meeting by May Alkhulaif, Audit Manager at the Regularity Directorate, and Yusuf Aljawder, Audit Supervisor at the Administrative Audit Directorate.
