The National Audit Office (NAO) in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies organized training on financial auditing which was attended by about 65 participants from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two-day webinar was presented Ameera Madan and May Alkhulaif, both audit managers at the regularity audit directorate of the NAO.
Participants were introduced to the NAO (establishment, law, objectives, competencies, standards, audit types it conducts), the planning of audit tasks, risk assessment, and relevant laws and regulations.
The program also touched on financial analysis methods, detailed audit checks such as selecting samples, implementing control procedures, writing reports, notes and final accounts, and provided an overview of the annual report prepared by the NAO.
