Employees at the National Audit Office (NAO) continued to enhance their professional and technical capabilities in various specialized fields, through training courses and workshops held by reputable local, regional and international bodies.
This comes as part of implementing the training plan for the professional year 2023/2024 which aims to enhance and develop the technical capabilities of employees in specialized fields, review best practices, and stay up-to-date with relevant developments in those fields to add value to the NAO’s audit work output.
Staff from the NAO also participated in a workshop on "Risk Management, Business Continuity and Crisis Management" organized by IDI and held in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.
The workshop aimed to introduce the methodology of risk management in accordance with ISO 31000, enhance the ability of SAIs to manage risks and exchange experiences with counterpart agencies from the ARABOSAI region.
In 2020, the IDI launched a new initiative aimed at strengthening the capacity of SAIs in the areas of risk management, business continuity and crisis management (CRISP), which focuses on establishing and improving risk and crisis management processes to help SAIs face future crises.
