His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), received this morning at his office, H.E. the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Adriano Silva Pucci.
During the meeting, activities of the NAO were reviewed and areas of cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the two countries and through the International Organi-zation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) were discussed.
In this context, H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa referred to the NAO's participation at INTOSAI’s 24th International Congress (INCOSAI), held every three years and which was hosted by Brazil last year, to discuss important issues facing the international public audit community.
In addition, he referred to a recent visit from H.E. Mr. Antonio Anastasia, Minister at the Federal Court of Audit of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to participate in the meetings on the development of professional standards of the INTOSAI Forum of Professional Pronouncements (FIPP) and the Strategic Development Plan (SDP) joint seminar held earlier this year in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
For his part, H.E. Ambassador Pucci thanked H.E. Sheikh Ahmed for the warm welcome and expressed his appreciation for the close bilateral relations between the two countries which he was keen to strengthen further in various fields.
