His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the victory of the McLaren team in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and the team’s top place in the constructors’ standings in the F1 championship.
H.E. said that the achievement was a result of the astute vision, directives and comprehensive patronage of His Majesty the King and his keenness for further progress of the country, and the support of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
H.E. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed added: "The outstanding achievements of the McLaren team confirm its high performance level that enables it to reach top positions in the championship.”
He stated: “This victory adds to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s global sports achievements, which have become a source of pride for the people of Bahrain, and which encourages them to excel in regional and global competitions."
