Minister of Works praises cooperation and coordination.
His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), affirmed at the meeting in his office with His Excellency Engineer Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works, that the performance of the entities subject to its audit proved the effectiveness of the NAO’s positive approach in carrying out its audit tasks which was based on partnership and cooperation with the audited entities and followed approved international audit standards.
He stressed that the NAO would continue to coordinate and cooperate with all ministries and government entities covered by its audit mandate to ensure the implementation of its recommendations to raise the level of performance, quality and efficiency of services provided to citizens, preserve public funds and ensure their proper management.
He referred to the Ministry of Works' cooperation with NAO employees which facilitated the implementation of its audit tasks. He stated that he was looking forward to strengthening cooperation to consolidate the principles of integrity, transparency, and professionalism to achieve the goals of the comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and follow-up of His Highness Royal Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince - Prime Minister.
For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Works praised the high level of professionalism of the NAO’s staff and expressed his ministry's readiness for more cooperation and coordination to reach the desired goals.
