Employee Capacity building in cooperation with Kroll.
The National Audit Office (NAO) continued with training courses as part of the "Capacity Building and Enhancement of Skills and Experience in Forensic Audit" program, which it organizes in cooperation with global firm Kroll.
Two courses were held recently: the first discussed digital forensic auditing, while the second focused on data analysis. 45 employees from the NAO and other relevant authorities participated in these webinars.
The training was conducted by expert lecturers from Kroll.
These webinars are part of a series of training courses on Forensic Auditing organized consecutively by the NAO with the aim of enabling employees to employ the skills acquired in preparing specialized reports, strengthening cooperation and partnership with the entities subject to the NAO’s audit, providing added value to stakeholders and achieving the NAO’s strategic objective leading to improved services for Bahrain’s citizens.
According to its training plan, the NAO approved 6 courses related to Forensic Auditing, which began on the 14th of July 2021 and will end on the 24th of November 2021. The following topics will be covered: Overview on Forensic Auditing, Forensic Accounting/Auditing and Financial Crimes, Sourcing of Information and Data Analysis, Data Collection, Extraction and Processing, Forensic Email Review Techniques, Investigative Interview Techniques, Work Paper Design and Maintenance, Forensic Reporting and Evidencing.
According to its law, Forensic Audit is part of the NAO’s audit mandate and is aimed at detecting administrative and financial fraud and corruption.
