Manama – The National Audit Office:
The Training and Development Committee meeting of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for the Arab States reviewed the draft of the strategic training plan for 2026-2028 and the follow-up report on the implementation of the strategic training for 2023-2025 prepared by the National Audit Office (NAO) of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting held recently in Kuwait, the Committee tasked the National Audit Office (NAO) with preparing a draft training plan for 2026-2027 in addition to the draft training plan the NAO had already prepared for 2024-2025.
The meeting discussed the report of the General Secretariat on the training programs implemented in 2024 and 2025 and the results of the sixth competition of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Research and Studies in the field of auditing and accounting.
Furthermore, participants discussed the review of the regulations to honour distinguished employees in the GCC SAIs.
In addition, participants were briefed on the memorandum of understanding between the King Fahd National Library and the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the research evaluation form submitted to the GCC competition for research and studies in the field of auditing and accounting.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Aysha Ahmed Adam, Director of Human Resources and Financial Resourcest, and Ms. Qotoof Abdul Wahab Naqi, Training and Professional Development Supervisor at the NAO.
