Manama – National Audit Office:
The National Audit Office (NAO), in cooperation with Al Salam Specialist Hospital and Solidarity Bahrain, organized a breast cancer awareness session for its employees.
40 female employees participated in the session which was conducted by Dr. Latifa Al-Buainain, Consultant General Surgeon, Laparoscopic and Breast Surgeon, and in which she emphasized the importance of periodic screening to improve the chances of early detection.
In addition, participants were given several practical tips and guidelines related to breast health with focus on the importance of continuous monitoring throughout the year to combat this disease. Participants were encouraged, as part of their routine, to do periodic check-ups and attend to their breast health for early detection and prevention.
This session comes within the framework of the NAO’s keenness to enhance health awareness among its employees to foster sound health practices.
