The NAO's Auditor-General, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammad Al Khalifa, participated this morning in Parliament’s virtual session, which discussed the reports of its Financial and Economic Affairs Committee on the NAO’s annual reports for the years 2017/2018 and 2018/2019.
The session was held online using the ZOOM system, in accordance with the precautionary and preventive measures adopted by the kingdom to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), whereby His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed responded to the inquiries of the MPs regarding the reports and related details.
The participants discussed the reports of the Parliamentary Financial and Economic Affairs Committee regarding the consolidated final account of the State for the fiscal years ending on the 31st of December 2017 and on the 31st of December 2018 respectively, the reports on the implementation of the State’s general budget for the fiscal years 2017 and 2018 and other related issues.
The session also touched on the Committee’s reports regarding the final account of the Future Generations Reserve Council for the fiscal year ending on the 31st of December 2017 audited by the NAO and the annual report and audited financial statements for the account of the Future Generations Reserve Council for the fiscal year ending on the 31st December 2018.
