The Gulf Audit Rules Working Group discusses the draft study of the "reliability of evidence"

Manama – The National Audit Office:

The National Audit Office (NAO) participated in the meeting of the Audit Rules Working Group of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which was held via video conference and discussed the joint draft to study "the reliability of evidence and how it will be used and developed in the future".

During the meeting, the team reviewed the memorandum of the GCC General Secretariat regarding the draft recommended for submission to the SAI Undersecretaries at their next meeting in preparation for its adoption by the SAI heads.

The study included an inventory of all approved evidence issued by the Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arabic States of the Gulf, an assessment of the current experience of member SAIs in applying evidence and its benefits, an analysis of application difficulties, and an inventory of the results.

The meeting was attended by the following representative from the National Audit Office (NAO) of the Kingdom of Bahrain: Abrar Hassan Alsaegh, Audit Supervisor at the Regularity Audit Directorate, and Yusuf Khalifa Aljawder, Audit Supervisor at the Administrative Audit Directorate.
